Babies are here /updates

Sorry that I have not posted any updates but I thought I should post an update on how things are going

I had the twins on January 16, 2012 at 35 weeks, I was admitted to the hospital at 32 weeks for preterm labor and they gave me medication to stop the labor and well the day I was sent home I went right back and when they checked me I was dilated to 6 cm and I looked at my husband and said "OH S***" and I said go tell B that he won't be going anywhere tonight as he will become a dad tomorrow.  I was in labor for 7 hrs all together and I love how B called the contractions miniature earthquakes. I had to deliver in the OR just in case we needed to have C section but I got to have them vaginally YEAH :) and I said to B sometime while I was pushing that his kids are stubborn because it seemed like I was pushing forever, but after awhile the babies were born and I was bummed that M could not make it but making her a Mom was worth the pain and I am sorry that I cursed a few times pain makes us say things well really labor pains do.

Now time has gone by and I am pumping and shipping my milk to them since they went back home, it was nice having them here for 3 weeks I miss them but its nice having them settled in there own place as well, handing them milk was nicer than shipping it to them as I got to visit with them for a bit to that I do miss but it gives me something to look forward to in May when me and my daughter get to see them again and I can give them fresh milk like I did when they were here.

I am 7 weeks  postpartum and last week I had my 6 week check and all is good and I am down to my weight that I was before I meet my husband I went from 140lbs before I had the babies to 102lbs now I only gain weight when I am pregnant and normally don't lose it like I did this time around, I was surprised that within a week I was in my pregnancy jeans and normally I would have to wait 6 weeks or so to fit into them so I was surprised that I fit into them more so because I just had twins. I know B was surprised as well when he seen that I was in my pregnancy jeans.

Emotions are finally getting the best of me, I didn't know that I would be so hard on myself but I am letting somethings get to me and I know I should not but I am, I think alot has to do with someone asking me if they can do something and not step on anyone's toes but now it bothers me because it makes me feel like I am not doing a wonderful or great job and I don't think that was the intentions but its gotten the best of me these last few weeks, I finally got to have a wonderful journey which also happens to be my last one as well and maybe I am jealous of those who got to have more than one journey but I was hoping to have just this one to myself and not have to share it with anyone and I feel like its been taken away from me and not intentionally but for those who know me I don't let things get the best of me and this has and I am not sure why but I remind myself that she is just helping out and have to pretend nothing happened and just keep doing what I have been doing, and that I did do a wonderful job making B & M parents is the best rewarding gift I have ever done, yes I say rewarding because being a parent is a rewarding job and a dream that finally came true for them and I am so very blessed and thankful that they chose me to help there comes come true and very thankful for all the things B did for me while I was in hospital and I am thankful for that he got me out of a room that I was stuck in and took me on wheelchair walks which was so nice, he got to bond with his babies before they were even born which having him in the room and talking the babies were familiar with his and he even got to watch them move around- Baby B more so than Baby A and feel them move around, Baby B was the best at that and after they were born Baby B still stretches and moves around.

I got recent pictures of the twins today and B's sister was nice and shared her pictures she took of them and posted them on his FB page so now I can really finish something that I have up my sleeve and no its not a tattoo I don't do those the shots and bruises were enough tattoos for me they go away, I just hope I can have it done before M's baby shower and she is having the best baby shower because the babies are here :) that's my kind of shower.

can't believe its been almost 2 months since they have arrived and I can not wait until May when we meet again :)

28 weeks

Well I thought I better update my blog since I have been slacking on it big time

I went in for my 28 week appointment on Tuesday November 29 and the babies are growing one more so than the other which I am hoping the smaller baby will catch up with the bigger one and when I say bigger one I mean bigger one it's measuring 34 weeks yes that's what the dr said when he measured it on the ultrasound and the smaller one is measuring right at 28 weeks which is where we are right now.  And the Dr is surprised that I have not had any preterm labor yet, which I am greatful for not having these babies need to cook more

I also failed my 1 hr glucose test which I took the day before Thanksgiving and on Wednesday the 30th I took the 3 hr one and passed that, I had no doubt that I would have gestational diabetes because I didn't have it with my own 3.

It's been  a while since I have updated my blog. So I thought I would give you a quick update on how things are going.

B & M's babies are now 24 weeks gestation and are measuring  24 weeks and 2 days and 25 weeks and that was at the appointment we had on Wednesday the 26th. My appointments are now going to be every 2 weeks so I am hoping that I start to gain more weight than I have, gaining weight is a challenge for me even when pregnant but that is the only time I do gain weight and so far I have gained 11 pounds and the doctor wants me to gain about 40 so I asked him how can I gain weight he told me to eat more protein so that I am and I am hoping that works. my weight gain is not affecting the babies though so that's good. Other than that there is not much more to update for now

16 weeks

Well B & M's babies are now 16 weeks gestation and they are the size of an avocado. My belly is growing and I am finally gaining weight now that the morning sickness is going away. I have narrowed it down to no bread, milk and now bananas. Eventually I will be able to have them but because I am not able to drink milk I am taking calicum pills.  I just can not tell the babies get more active to where I can feel them kick and move so I can record it and send them to B & M.

14 weeks already

Well we are now 14 weeks and into our 2nd trimester. and today I went to the Dr because I woke up cramping and it was all on my right side, and come to find out it can be either built up scar tissue from previous surgeries, my appendix in 2005 and then having my tubes tied in 2007 or it could be a

varicose vein the dr was just not really sure what it is but he is going to watch it. I am just thankful that it is not harming the twins.  They are not my babies but I still want to make sure that they are save and ok as I would be doing the same thing if they were my own.  Every pregnancy is different and yes its also nerve raking as well because we want to make sure all goes well for 40 weeks or 9 months.  I am just so thankful that everything is going pretty well, nothing major and I can not wait for the 20 week ultrasound when B & M can see how much their babies have changed since they last saw them at the 9 week ultrasound, other than the ultrasound pictures that I had sent them.

11 week ultrasound

Well I finally got my camera back from the shop so I can finally upload pictures from the 11 week 6 day ultrasound appointment.  I have another appointment tomorrow but I am not sure if they are going to do an ultrasound or not but either way it will be nice to know that B & M's babies are doing great and growing.

So today I took my daughter to Joann's Fabric since she wanted to make another blanket for B & M but instead its going to be 2 of the same kind. And I suggested it be 1/2 yard that way they fit perfect over the babies carseats because most blankets are to big and this is the perfect size.  She picked out neutral colors because they don't want to know the gender of the babies so this way its best.
